The suitcases are being packed as we prepare to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. As we embark on this physical and interior spiritual journey please join us tomorrow as we pray the Harvest prayer for those who travel by air.
God, Holy Land
You have created everything for Your own sake, and destined all the elements of this world for the service of all peoples.
May Your blessing and protection rest upon this aeroplane, as it makes its journey through the air.
Grant that it may serve to bring us safely to our destination, remove far from it all danger and make it for us a place of prayer, community and rest.
We ask this in Jesus' name.
Amen.
We will follow and celebrate the liturgical year through the Magnificat book given to each pilgrim.
It is timely that we leave on the 1st of May - the feast of St Joseph the Worker ... because we have spiritual work to do on this pilgrimage as we take the prayer intentions of family, friends and parishioners with us, those written and those unspoken in our hearts.
