Fr John at the sculpture created to commemorate the visit of Pope John Paul II to Mount Nebo, Jordan, in March 2000. It has beautiful detail depicting the journey of the bible through the Old Testament, Prophets to Jesus.
Whilst it was a bit hazy today, we too stood and viewed the promised land just like Moses.
Each pilgrim received a patron Saint today to accompany us on this pilgrimage ... we allowed the Saint to choose us, as we drew them from a hat. Each was accompanied by a powerful quote that resonated with us deeply and can become part of our prayer on this spiritual journey.
