We travelled to the Wedding Church at Cana. It was buzzing with joyful couples. We celebrated Mass with two other groups - from India and South Africa.
During Mass married couples had the opportunity to renew their Wedding vows - it was a very special moment. We prayed for those in the group who felt the absence of their husbands - those husbands left behind in New Zealand, those who have gone to the Lord before us.
MT TABOR - THE TRANSFIGURATION
In little mini buses we ascended Mt Tabor, the road winding up the hill giving us a spectacular view of the valley below. Walking into this church I was blown away by the beauty of the mosaic of the transfiguration - it's gold sparkled and drew you into peace filled prayer. A deep invitation to allow yourself to be transformed, to change, to follow Him. It really took my breath away and I sat in grateful prayer for this experience. There was something special about this church and it is a memory I will treasure - it has transfigured me! I wish the photos could express the atmosphere!
