Colleen Carr:
The Pilgrimage is an experience I will cherish forever. The stand outs for me were getting up the hill to the Monastery at Petra, Mass on a boat on the Sea of Galilee (after the boat leaving without Dolour, Babs and I) and reading at the Mass that was celebrated in the Edicule at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Favourite memory was the 5am stations of the cross on Via Dolorosa followed by intimate Mass on Christ’s tomb - we were on holy ground!

On pilgrimage I was really mindful of tracing Jesus' footsteps. I discovered I feel most myself and at peace when in a church and at Mass. My artistic side was encouraged and excited by all the beautiful religious artwork and I reconnected with how painting is a form of prayer for me - a gift to be nourished. My favourite memory was the Church of the Transfiguration, walking the Stations of the Cross and Mass in the Holy Sepulchre. Enjoyed being part of a great group of pilgrims - thank you for making it a wonderful lifetime experience.

I lost my phone, my watch battery died, I left my cherished prayer book in the Garden of Gethsemane ... I felt like the Lord was giving me my own "desert" experience from the attachments in my life - actually made it easier to focus on the Lord!
Thanks be to God for your inexpressible gift!
